LGBTQ+ Counseling at The EFT Clinic

As society becomes increasingly aware of the struggles of the LGBTQ+ community, avenues are opening for voices to be heard and healing to occur. At The EFT Clinic, we aim to help this process of healing by offering services to LGBTQ+ individuals and couples in a sensitive, multicultural way.

Our Emotionally-Focused Therapists at The EFT Clinic provide safe spaces for members of the LGBTQ+ community to explore and embrace their personal identity and to build confidence and self-esteem. Whether you are exploring your own sexuality or lack thereof, are in the process of transitioning, or are a gay or lesbian couple seeking couples therapy, we are here to support you every step of the way.

Given our religious context in Utah, we hope to be non-judgmental and caring in our treatment of those who may come from religious backgrounds, aware of the many ways religion might intersect with sexuality. Some may be questioning their beliefs or are currently divided in their religious and sexual identity; many might be moving away from one or the other. Our hope is to meet our clients exactly where they are, open to a variety of perspectives. We offer therapists from both LDS and non-LDS backgrounds.

We want to hear about our clients' experiences and aspire to provide a space that is both welcoming and constructive. We do not provide "conversion therapy" experiences, but instead wish to help clients clarify and solidify their values, identity, and promote personal well-being.
